JIRIBAM February 5: A painting competition under the theme “Remember, Review & Revive for Love, Peace & Integrity” was held yesterday in connection with the 284th Puya Meithaba Ningsing Thouram at Jiribam Government Higher Secondary School jointly organized by Manipur State Sumang Lila Council (MSSLC), International Observation Committee on Puya Meithaba (ICOP), Meetei National Front (MNF) and All Manipur Recognised Pvt. School welfare Assn (AMRPSWA).
The function was attended by Sapam Bheiga, Joint Director, Directorate of Art and Culture, Namoijam Tomba, chief convenor ICOP, MNF Kangleipak and L Rajmohan, secretary, BOSEM as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
W Saratchandra, advisor, Barak Valley Meetei Convention and Kumbha Luwang, president, Meetei Enat Thougal Lup, Jiribam, also attended the function was special invitees.
The painting competition was conducted divided into two categories and was attended by 62 competitors. In group A, Allen Thoudam of Virgo Arts, Milar Sinamcha of Virgo Arts and N Naresh Singh of Virgo Arts took the first, second and third position respectively.
In group B, K Achinta Singh of Emoinu English School, Jiribam; Banita Sharma of Cachar, Lakhipur and O Pathou Singh of North English Academy took first, second and third position respectively.
