IMPHAL, Mar 23 MNS: The 2nd Imphal International Short Film festival 2013 has begun Saturday at the Central Agriculture University (CAU) Conference Hall in Imphal.
KR Chelhollur, president, Insight the Creative Group, Palakkad, Keralam, Junichi Koijeoka, a London based Japanese actor and Naorem Iboton Singh, Dean, College of Agriculture, CAU, Imphal graced the opening ceremony of the festival.
Short films from Asia, Europe, America, Latin America and Australia are participating in this second addition of the 6 days-long festival.
It is being organized by Legend Studio, Manipur and supported by Film Forum Manipur and Action for Social Advancement, Manipur under the motto “Bigger Picture in Shorts.”
Altogether 78 short films like The Hell (Korean), Kanaveegal (Tamil), Illusions (Tamil), Mazhayoooppam Mayunnathu (Malayalam), She (Spanish), Corner (English), Pizzasin (Bangladeshi), The Future (Australian), Bhuto (Bengali) and Laibak (Meiteilon) will be screened at the festival.
Other short films like Mr Bear (USA), The Truth Behind (Silent Film), Love at First Sight (UK), Luminaris (Argentine), Once Upon a Sultan (Urdu), Rangi (Kannada), The Eyes of Miracle (Iran), 1973 (Russia), April Chill (Georgian) and Missed Samonte (Filipino) are also taking part in the mega event.
