IMPHAL, April 2: The proscribed outfit RPF has said in a statement that the outfit and its armed wing PLA is not related in any manner with Md Raja Udin son of Md Isuf Ali, of Yairipok Heitroipokpi who was reportedly arrested by a team of the 24th AR on March 24 along with PLA corporal Wahengbam Rex alias Abungo, 17, son of Kumar of Hiyanglam Lai Pangalba and lance corporal Karim Khan alias Achouba, 17, son of Khomdon of Keirao Mayai Leikai from whom, one AK rifle, a magazine, 16 rounds, one 9mm pistol, one magazine and four rounds were recovered.
It has also said that Karim Khan alias Achouba and Wahengbam Rex alias Abungo had joined the PLA camp on Feb 15 and 16, 2013 respectively and had left the camp after realising that they cannot stay under the outfit’s training guideline even before their training started.
It continued the two were not assigned any rank and were not given any arms and ammunition. It further informed that the outfit and its armed wing PLA is not related to Ningthoujam Lairenjao, 45 son of (L) N Ahongjao Singh who was arrested during the intervening night of March 23 and 24 by 10th AR.
It said, Lairenjao a rickshaw driver was sleeping with his child when he was arrested by the AR.
