IMPHAL, April 6: The Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Right despite being under the Social Welfare Department Govt. of Manipur is yet to have proper office, staff and all are under process. This was said by K Maharabi, Member of the Commission during a press meet at Manipur Press Club today.
Further, highlighting the works done by the Commission said the recently rescued 23 children from Jaipur followed prior information being given to the Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Right by Kabita Shrivastav, Secretary of the People’s Union for Civil Liberties, Jaipur. He further said that the Members visited Jaipur and brought the children safely and further admitted them to the Observation Home at Takyel.
