IMPHAL, April 12: A cabinet meeting held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat today resolved presided by the CM continued for 3 hours mainly discussing in length the visit of the President, Pranab Mukherjee on 15 April to avoid any untoward incidents.
It may be mentioned that various underground outfits have boycotted the state visit of the President.
The cabinet also decided to prologue the fourth session of the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly sittings and further to approach the Governor in the regard.
The Industrial and investment policy 2013, was tabled at the cabinet, but a decision in the regard was not taken. The next agenda also deliberated on the Manipur Forest Service rules 1986, which accordingly should keep the age bar of the entrant to the department at 20 to 26 years, following which the cabinet has amended that the age bar be hiked upto 21 years to 30.
The mater of Thokchom Kiran who was murdered at Mayang-Imphal was discussed.
The cabinet agreed that Thangjam Ritani who is the widow of the deceased will be given a grade IV employment.
The cabinet discussed that the Labor and Employment department , under the Rastriya Swasthiya Bima Yojna, those holding the smart card should be given the first preference and further to augment the department and employ 7 project officers on a contract basis.
It may be mentioned that, those having the smart card will be reimbursed for any medical facilities for any medical incidents, the hospitals are namely Shija Hospital and Research Institute, Raj Polyclinic, Langol View Hospital and Sky Hospital. The said institutions has been approved by the State for availing the said facility.
