Closing function of a 2 Day Symposium & Festival of Indian Dances in the International Mainstream held at JNMDA

Imphal, April 21 : Chief Minister Shri O. Ibobi Singh said that government will extend full co-operation and support in preserving and promoting the Manipuri dance and martial arts. He was speaking as the Chief Guest today at the closing function of the 2 Day Symposium & Festival of Indian Dances in the International Mainstream being organised by the Thoibi Manipuri Dance & Cultural Research Institute, Imphal in association with Indian Council of Cultural Relations and Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy, Imphal at JNMDA Auditorium.
To preserve and promote Manipuri dance, Art & culture, the government, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and private stakeholders shall join hand together to improve the support and facilities to artiste, he further added.
The function was attended by T. Mangibabu Singh, MLA and PadmaShri Smt. Kshetrimayum Ongbi Thouranishabi Devi as the Guests of Honour and Shri Ningthoujam Nabachandra Singh, the Festival Director as the functional president.Many dancers of national and international repute performed their dance recitals.
