IMPHAL, April 20: The Kanglei Economic Development Organization (KEDO) organized its foundation day observation at the Nupi Keithel No 2 (Emoinu Ima Keithel) today.
Speaking as the chief guest, Social Welfare Minister AK Mirabai said one should avoid sitting idle to bring about a healthy and prosperous society.
A revolution in the work culture and trade is necessary for an economically independent society, she said.
She also said that a new market complex will be constructed considering the inconveniences of the women vendors selling vegetables on the road sides.
The occasion was presided over by MLA O Landhoni and attended by MLA Nemcha Kipgen and Ward No 11 Councillor Ph Memchatombi Chanu as guests of honour.
