IMPHAL, May 24: The dead body of a man kept at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) morgue for verification from yesterday after being found by locals of Kwakeithel Thounaojam Leikai has been identified by family members today. The body was handed over to them after post mortem was conducted.
The deceased has been identified as Thangjam Babu (55) son of Late of Hemo of Sagolband Thangjam Leirak at present, Keibung Oinam Leirak.
According to the family members, Babu had set out from his present home located at Keibung Oinam Leikai on 21 May at around 2 pm saying that he was going to his original home, after which he failed to come back.
