IMPHAL, June 12: A team of Thoubal Police led by Sub Inspector I Yaiskul Singh today apprehended red-handedly one driver of Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) along with two stolen two-wheel vehicles.
It was informed that the name of the apprehended IRB driver is Md Waris Khan 23, son of late Md Pishak of Sangai Yumpham Mairen Khul while his driver no is 10D0775, now stationing at 2nd IRB. He was being apprehended from his house after getting reliable information.
One Honda Activa bearing registration number MN-01/Z-2644 and Honda Access in red colour (registration not available) was recovered whereas the Honda Activa was changed its colour in black. The police team raided the offender’s house while he was exchanging vehicles parts.
Later on, the police team made a briefing to media persons saying that a list of persons, who are allegedly involving in this robbery, was also prepared from the disclosure of Md. Waris Khan. Meantime, a case was registered in this regard and due process of legal will be done accordingly.
