IMPHAL, April 21: Thoubal District Police and commandos conducted a cordon and search operation and special drive against liquor vendors under the supervision of S Ibomcha additional SP (operation), Thoubal.
The search operation was conducted at Kheba Ching and its surrounding village as part of a security measure taken up ahead of the Khongjom Day celebration.
The same team of police personnel conducted another special drive against selling of liquor in various places of Kongjam area and seized around 200 litres of Local Made liquored during the special drive today evening.
