IMPHAL, Oct 12: The United Revolutionary Front (URF) has warned to award capital punishment to individuals or groups found surrendering before the Government posing as URF.
A statement released by the outfit`™s chairman, Lanheiba Meitei, stated that the URF will not repeat the mistake of trusting any policy programme of the State and Central governments in the name of peace.
Surrendering before the enemy has never been a tradition of Manipur and the same had never existed in the ethics of the outfit, it said.
Alleging that some vested interest individuals are hand in glove with the government are forcing retired members of the outfit to take up arms posing as URF under gun point, it has warned all individuals helping these people to stay away from them.
It further appealed the elders of such vested interest individuals to coax them to return to their homes as the Manipur Army, armed wing of the URF will be launching its operation in the valley area.
The chairman also offered his revolutionary salute to revolutionary groups irrespective of hills and valley supporting the URF.
The statement further warned that it would plan an attack on all the members of the congress party in Manipur from top to bottom, if the State government fails to stop its plan of re-organising fake group posing as URF.
It said that the impending operation in the valley will be commanded by Loyangamba Meitei while Lankhomba Meitei, will be the assistant central chief central of finance.
Anti Corruption Cell (ACC) of URF will also start taking action against corrupt contractors and government officials who have been basking on the funds meant for the public.
