State Transport Authority has notified and directed that no application for grant of fresh contract carriage permits for operation of Intermediate Public Transport IPT in the State will be considered and granted as provided under section 74 of the MV Act 1988 and grant permits contract carriage permits is suspended temporarily till further notice in all the offices of Secretary, State Transport Authority STA Regional Transport Authorities RTAs , Manipur till the final publication of the draft Manipur State Transport Policy and Subsequent conduct of the following surveys studies of major Corridors Arterial Roads including important IVRs connecting Imphal city centre, with district sub district Hqs Places of importance in the State envisaged to be carried out by the Department of Transport, Government of Manipur Planning Development Authority PDA , Imphal Municipal Council IMC , Autonomous District Councils ADCs , Zilla Parishads Nagar Panchayets, Local Bodies is initiated Source Hueiyen News Service
