IMPHAL, Jul 22: The Big Sisters`™ League Manipur, has informed that 14-year old Konkham Lamjingnganba of Kwakeithel Konjeng Leikai has been selected as the lone representative from the entire North Eastern region along with 10 others from the rest of the country to attend the 70th United Nation General Assembly (UNGA) to be held at United Nations headquarters at New York, USA from September 18 to 27 next.

A statement of the league claimed the Big Sisters`™ League is a registered NGO based in Imphal with an aim to prevent the occurrence of sexual abuse and heal those who have been affected by it.

The objective of the children to attend the UNGA in New York is to influence the World community to accept 6 % GDP (gross domestic product) for Education and 5 % for health as the minimum international standard. The other children are from Bihar, Delhi, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telengana, West Bengal and Uttarakhand, it said.

Representing Big Sisters`™ League Manipur, Konkham Lamjingnganba son of visually impaired Gangarani who lost her husband in a firing incident few years ago, will introduce himself and tell the world leaders to help the process, during the forthcoming UNGA.It has further appealed to concerned authorities to extend possible help to Lamjingnganba in his preparation of the necessary formalities including passport and travel etc.
