In the aftermath of insurgent attack on Assam Rifles convoy in Chandel district on May 22 in which One Junior Commissioned Officer and five soldiers died, Chief of Army Staff Gen Dalbir Singh along with Eastern Command GOC-in-C Lt Gen Praveen Bakshi visited 29 Assam Rifles battalion today, said a statement issued by the PRO of IGAR (S).
