IMPHAL, Jun 22: A one-day training programme on ‘Management Practices for cultivation of Kharif rice for increasing farmers’ income’ was held at Khabam Bamdiar Development Farmers’ Club premises today. According to a statement, the programme was organized by ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre, Lamphelpat, under the Farmer Club Programme. Around 30 farmers from Khabam Bamdiar and adjoining villages attended the programme. A team of ICAR resource persons consisting of Dr Kh Rishikanta Singh, Scientist Agri Economics, Dr Arati Ningombam, Scientist Entomology, Kh Hera Singh, STO KVK Imphal West and Dr Lydia Zimik, SMS KVK Imphal West imparted training and interacted with the farmers.
