You never realise that your biggest fans are those who speaks bad about you. They are the ones who wakes you up and gets you to work when you are lazy, seriously love doesn’t motivates as much as hatred do. You never drink and smoke not because you don’t want to disappoint your parent’s love but just because you hate those drunkards and smokers around you.

In the quaint leikai : Village of Kwatha

Introduction :
Students of political science must be familiar with the terms like ‘Nation-State’ and ‘City-State’. Both of these organised political bodies are interchangeably called a country or simply a nation, though there are subtle differences as in the former is a term that we use every day for a political body defined by government, sovereignty, population, territory. This includes, for example, India, Burma and Bangladesh. On the other hand, a city-state is an independent State that consists of a city—and it can be within another country—and that has the common distinguishing features of a State. Examples include Singapore, Monaco and Vatican City.

Focus should be on those who gave the orders to kill, in addition to those personnel who were just following those instructions. Nobody would fault Executive Director of Human Rights Alert, Babloo Loitongbam for airing this line of thought more particularly in the aftermath of the explosive confession of former Head Constable of the Manipur Police Commando, Th Herojit that he killed Ch Sanjit in cold blood on the instruction of his officer on July 23, 2009 inside a pharmacy at BT Road.

IMPHAL, Jul 16: The Leimajam Leikai Maning Women Welfare Centre held a sit-in protest against the recent removal of O Nabakishore as the Chief Secretary and demanded that he be reinstated in his former position as soon as possible.
In the sit-in protest held at the Leimajam Leikai community hall, president RK Bimoti said that the removal of O Nabakishore from his post by the Govt without any explanation is unacceptable.
She asked if the Govt does as it pleases, how can it runs the State effectively. Because of such repressive acts against the indigenous people, the land will be overrun by outsiders.
The Govt should listen to the voice of the people and appoint capable indigenous officers as HoDs. She also said that there will be protests until O Nabakishore is reinstated.
