IMPHAL, Jan 15 : The U-19 boys and girls team representing Manipur in the 63rd National School Games Belt Wrestling Championship have so far bagged 13 medals including 7 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze medals.
The championship is currently underway at Hyderabad under the aegis of School Games Federation of India.
Manipur’s S Santosh (40 kg), O Johnson (45 kg), W Ajay (60 kg), M Romeshchandra (65 kg), S Abesana (45 kg), Ng Haripriya (50 kg) and L Nganthoi Devi (55 kg) bagged one gold medal each for Manipur while N Rakesh (55 kg), L Thomas (70 kg), Kh Geetanjali (40 kg) and Th Martina (55 kg) finished second to clinch silver medals.
Th Surjit (50 kg) and N Amar (70 kg) were able to claimed bronze medals for the State.
The State team are lead by L Manao as manager while Ch Premananda and E Romila Devi are leading the team as coaches (boys and girl)
