Imphal, Jan 28: Troops of 6/8 Gorkha Rifles of Loktak Brigade under the aegis of Red Shield Division apprehended two over ground workers of KCP (MC) from Bishnupur District on 27 Jan 12. Individuals revealed their identities as Kuma Kohan of Khurai Ahonggei Leirak, District Imphal East and Mrs Khonthujam Geeta Devi wife of Mr Kh Hoocha Singh (37) resident of Khurai Ahonggei Lierak, District Imphal East. They were involved in extortion related activities on behalf of banned militant outfit. Individuals were handed over to Bishnupur Police Station. In an another operation troops of 39 Assam Rifles also apprehended two over ground workers of KYKL involved in intimidating voters of Sinjol area. They were identified as Sanghal Haulianmang, S/o Late Nenjzapun, r/o Bungmol and Khuptong Doukhum, s/o Nengzian, r/o New Lamka.
