Imphal, July 21: Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) was a flagship Programme introduced by the Prime Minister specially for the benefit of Youths in the India. In Manipur, this flagship Programme of the Prime Minister was taken up jointly by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), the Khadi and village Industries Board (KVIB) and the District Industries Centre (DIC) respectively
The BOB, Yurembam branch allegedly betrayed the beneficiaries by practicing delaying tactics according to a press hand out issued by Kh Jiwankumar, Convenor, BOB beneficiaries, 2012-12. After a long wait the beneficiaries were informed that Regional office Guwahati has not given sanction power to the Branch Manager .
BOB Yurembam Branch Officials did not notify any information about the loan recovery . It was questioned why the Bank of Baroda Yurembam shared the information in the meeting with the General Manager DIG; the A/D, KVIC; CEO, KVIB; and the Bank Managers . The Government should check the management of the BOB Yurembam Branch and take appropriate action it was demanded.
