IMPHAL, Oct 11 NNN : The Lamyanba Irabot Ningshing Thouram Committee (LINTC) revealed on Thursday it would turn the historical place of Keibi Mana Ching where social reformer Hijam Irabot took up the first communist movement into a stunning tourist spot, apart from developing a library and another museum.
It is relevant to follow the path pioneered by Irabot in incorporating the unity of all the farmers and labourers in Manipur for a peaceful and stable state, said Laishram Shyamkumar, convenor, LINTC while addressing a press conference held at the Manipur Press Club here.
He said it is right time we follow the principle of unity-building path for farmers and labourers left behind by pioneer Irabot, advocating that now the time needs his thoughts on movement to bring about change.
Describing that it cannot be possible to bring change in the society devoid of struggle and movement, Shyamkumar suggested that the present generation should follow the footsteps of Irabot by remembering him.
Shyamkumar flanked by N Rashi Meetei, president, Irabot Memorial Trust Keibi Mana Ching, further revealed that the historical place of Keibi Mana Ching in Imphal East where Lamyanba Irabot took up the first communist movement in Manipur would be developed into a dazzling tourist spot and a library and another museum would be built up as well.
A documentary film based on every single event that Irabot had shared and experienced with his followers in different places outside Manipur would be produced very soon.
He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who had supported and participated the 10-day long Irabot celebration held from Sep-21-30.
