mns: A National Integration Tour comprising of 20 school children and two teachers from Moreh to New Delhi, organised by 9 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQIGAR(S) have interacted with the President Pranab Mukherjee at Rastrapati Bhavan on 26 Oct 12. The children in the true spirit of national integrity, presented the First Citizen of India a song based on love and respect for all cultures and religions.
The children, initially awestruck by the awed by the resplendent beauty and magnificence of the Rastrapati Bhavan, soon warmed up to the President and the First Lady.
In an interactive session, the children had many questions which the President answered with great patience and a sense of humour. He extolled the young minds to be part of the effort to bring up the standard of education, sports and camaraderie between various ethnic groups and sects.
He was extremely pleased to interact with the smart and motivated youth of Manipur.
