IMPHAL, January 6: The three days “Youth Cultural Exchange Program” organized by the Kasturba Gandhi Seva Ashram (KGSA), Khongman Zone-III, Imphal East District, at Lamyanba Sanglen and sponsored by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DONER) Govt. of India was inaugurated today.
Speaking at the function, N Medhabati Secretary of the Kasturba Gandhi Seva Ashram (KGSA) said that culture can bring integration and feeling of oneness to youths of the state who belong to different ethnic group and to boost their morale, skill and talent.
S Bheigya Singh, Joint Director Department of Arts & Culture said the cultural exchange program was relevant in the present situation of Manipur besides giving a platform for the youth to build the feeling of oneness.
Giving the Presidential address, N Sarat Singh Retd. OSD, Department of Youth Affairs & Sports said that such initaitives will help the youth to know each other`s tradition and culture. He further said those who participate in this program also get to learn from other participants.
