Imphal, Jan 15: Red Shield Division took the initiative to encourage, guide and actively facilitate registration of 3500 youths from Senapati and Tamenglong districts for vacancies of constables in the Central Armed Police Forces being subscribed through Staff Services Commission of India (SSC). It is heartening to note that more than 1000 girls have also registered for SSC.
Units of Senapati Brigade have established registration cells in remote areas of Senapati and Tamenglong districts. The visit of Major General KK Sinha, General Officer Commanding, Red Shield Division has added further steam to this Awareness Campaign.
Meanwhile Security Forces under Red Shield provided medical assistance to Gaipuiliu Kamei, a of Noney on 14 January 2013. The victim reported of poisoning to the unit MI Room at 0900 hours on 14 Jan 2013 in a critical condition. She was immediately resuscitated and remove the poison by the medical staffs of the unit and further evacuated to RIMS.
A Maruti 800 bearing registration No MN 01K 2904 coming from Imphal to Tamenglong lost control and fell into a gorge near MS 49 on NH 37. On receipt of information the Security Forces under Red Shield Division rushed to the accident site and provided necessary first aid to Mr R S Vareiyo, the victim. Later Security Forces recovered the vehicle.
