IMPHAL, Jan 30: A fire burned down five shops at Kwakeithel Akham Leikai during the midnight of January 29 destroying property worth about Rs 20 lakh.The five shops include a grocery, a chicken centre, a tent house, a dynamo repair centre and a shop selling repair parts of vehicles. The owners of the plot are identified as Akham Sanjoy, Akham Premjit and Akham Somorendro. The fire was ignited by an electric short circuit.
