Imphal, Feb7 : Imphal West police commando arrested three members of two different outfits on Wednesday.
In a statement, Superintendent of Police, Imphal West said one active member of the banned People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak ( PREPAK) was arrested at Bashikhong
Kitna Panung in Imphal East district early morning yesterday and later nabbed another two KYKL militants along with cash near Langol View Clinic in Imphal West district.
The statement identified the arrested PREPAK militant as Mutum Imotombi Singh, 49, son of late M Haridev, a resident of Bashikhong Kitna Panung.
The arrested disclosed that he was working under the command of a self-styled commander of the outfit named Rajen Babu alias Babu alias Kunba, the statement said.
It said Imotomba had extorted huge amount of money from different places under the instruction of the commander for their party fund.
One mobile handset was recovered from his possession.
Also on the same day, the Imphal West police commando personnel arrested two active members of the banned (KYKL) along with Rs 30, 000 in cash near the gate of Langol View Clinic in the district.
The statement identified the duo as Keisham Meghachandra, 46, son of K Ishorchand of Keishampat Aheibam Leirak and Thokchom Konan, alias Mocha, 30, son of Th Ibopishak of Heirangoithong Jagnath Achouba Leirak.
It added two mobile handsets were also seized from the two militants.
