IMPHAL, May 13: Reiterating its demands to provide vending space and at the same time demanding the release of their fellow street vendors arrested by the police since the start of their agitation, a group of street vendors gathered today in front of the MPP office and blocked vehicular movement along the road for several minutes.The protestors were later dispersed by the city police without any further unwanted incidents.I Debrani, a member of the Khwairamband Keithel Street Vendor Demand committee, speaking on the sideline of the protest to the media persons decried the act of putting her fellow vendors in jail and further urged the government to release them, taking into consideration their family.
