JIRIBAM, January 17: The Government Higher Secondary School, which is regarded as the most reputed school in the entire Jiribam sub-division has been largely affected by the absence of adequate staff and infrastructure, said the principal of the school.
He told media persons that the lack of staff and infrastructure have greatly affected the atmosphere in the school.
There is still a lot of scope for improvement once the needed staff and infrastructure are provided, he continued.
The acute shortage of staff and infrastructure has also resulted in the falling pass percentage, he lamented.
With the main aim of improving the pass percentage of the students, the session for class IX and X will be started from February 3, said the principal.
He further appealed to the teachers who are presently not available to return to the school and help churning out better students.
He also appealed to the state government to look into the necessities of the school which has class XI to XII at the earliest.
