IMPHAL, May 30: With the Congress dominating the just held IMC election by achieving the needed absolute majority of 14 seats, MPCC president Gaikhangam has stated that it is only an indication of impending victory for the party in the coming 2012 general election in the state.
The president was briefing mediapersons during a pres conference conveyed this evening at the Congress Bhavan, regarding the easy win of the party in the IMC election.
Further speaking at the conference he maintained that the easy victory of the party shows that the people of the state still have belief and faith in the party.
He also added that taking serious concern over the people’s aspiration, his party will try to go ahead with the developmental works in the state.
He also mentioned that there the party will be reinstating a Congress led administration in the Imphal Municipal Council and will work harder than before in delivering services for the welfare of the people in terms of development in the years to come.
