The summit was inaugurated by Lal Thanzara, Minis- ter, Health and FW, Mizoram along with Ranjit Barthakur, Chairman, FICCI NE Advisory Council, Dr. K Srinath Reddy, President Public Health Foundation of India (through VC), and Jayanto Narayan Choudhury, vice president PHFI, along with state health ministers from Mizoram, Meghalaya, Sikkim and Members of Parliaments from north eastern states.

IMPHAL, Jul 5 : Manipur’s horticulture depart-ment has taken up steps for getting GI (Geographical Indication) tag for Tamenglong orange, Siroi lily and Shira-rakhong chilly found in the state. Previously, the Kachai lemon found in Ukhrul district of the state was given the GI tag in April 2015.
