Thoubal: The foundation day of Leimapokpam Muhindro High School, Thoubal Athokpam was held.
MLA of Khangabok AC, Okram Surjakumar, Thoubal Municipal Council ward no 6 Councillor Kh Bishorjit and Thoubal College Principal Okram Chaoba Devi attended the event as dignitaries.
Floral tributes were paid to the late founders of the school by the dignitaries.
Meanwhile, the New Public Higher Secondary School in Khangabok also celebrated its 20th foundation day at its school campus in which Charangpat Zilla Parishad member P Heramani, Khangabok Zilla Parishad member Kh Rajmohon, Sangaiyumpham Zilla Parishad member Md Hibjur Rahaman, New Public Higher Secondary School Chairman M Rameshwor were present as dignitaries among others.
Later, an award distribution ceremony for the students of the school who excelled in their respective classes, achieved national level awards and scored highest marks in the HSLC examination was also held.

Thoubal: As a part of “Kids’ Winter Break Camp,” a non residential children programme, students of Thoubal district today organised a rally under the banner “Walk for Clean Environment and Traffic Safety.”
The camp which started on December 18 of the previous year organised by AISECT Academy for Teachers Training, Thoubal conducted the rally in and around Thoubal.
Children under 5 to 13 years are engaged in the camp. Various academics and extracurricular activities like drawing, colour painting, hiking, handwriting, singing, dancing, computer and speaking English lessons are given to the children at the camp. Sightseeing tours and interaction programmes with eminent personalities are also organised to entertain and broaden the children’s horizons.

THOUBAL, Jan 13: People’s Welfare Organisation, YDSO and WYC Thoubal Wangmataba Ward No2, Thoubal district today lauded the Manipur Pollution Control Board for inspecting the Thoubal river and assured that people in and around the river will help the board in its future efforts to clean the river system.
A joint statement issued by the club organisations further appealed that the concerned authorities and Manipur Pollution Control Board to further inspect the river system and take up necessary actions to clean the water body.

THOUBAL, Jan 13: Former president of BJP Manipur Pradesh Thokchom Jadumani along with a team of officials from the IFCD including Executive Engineer Ksh Kameshwor, Assitant Engineer M Borchand and Section Officer Sh Ashakanta Sharma inspected under construction- retaining walls on the banks of Ariong river on the Khangabok side and dams on the river.
Th Jadumani stated that the construction of the dams and the retaining 4 feet high retaining walls will be finished under two months and assured that the construction will control and prevent flood in the area.

Thoubal: Children’s Creative Contemplative Educational Institution (C3EI), Thoubal conducted an award ceremony for the winners of its 6th Talent Hunt Examination 2017 , held on October 19 and 20 last year.
The examination was conducted for two subjects- Science and Mathematics. A total of 1150 students competed in the examination held at two centres- Manipur College, Singjamei and Vision Creative School of Science, Thoubal.
450 students (class IV to X) competed in the science subject while 700 students (class I to X) competed in Mathematics.
KM Blooming Higher Secondary School, Khangabok was adjusted the best school.
