IMPHAL, Jul 24: District Health Society, District Family Welfare Office, Imphal West today organised World Population Day at Divine Light School, Khumbong Bazar.
ADM of Imphal West Ksh Lemba attended the programme as the chief guest.
Pradhan of Moidangpok GP Th Gambhir and CMO of Imphal West Dr H Kulla also attended the programme.
Speaking at the occasion, Ksh Lemba said that a change in different dimensions have been witnessed in the world due to phenomena caused by population explosion. As such, there is the urgency to increase awareness of the people towards the worldwide population issues and find out the solutions to combat the population issues.
